Luke and Kelly’s story is one of serendipity and the right timing.

Though they both went to Lakeville South High School, their paths never really crossed. Luke and Kelly each built life long friendships during high school and were deeply involved in sports and other activities. They were aware of each other but never spent time together.

Their first true encounter happened years later in college. Both happened to be at a concert at Gustavus College and while they loved catching up, the timing wasn't right for either of them.

Life went on, and they continued with their separate paths. But the real twist came years later when they found each other on the dating app Tindy in 2019. This time, their connection was immediate. They quickly discovered that they had a lot in common—not just shared interests, but a similar approach to life. They both valued time spent with family and friends, and their mutual love for music sparked a natural bond. Concerts became a favorite activity, whether they were attending intimate shows or larger festivals.

As they grew closer, Luke and Kelly also realized they enjoyed activities together. They played in soccer leagues early in their relationship, enjoying the friendly competition and teamwork. Over time, they both developed a shared love for skiing, which became one of their favorite pastimes. Ski trips to the mountains allowed them to escape from everyday life and enjoy the beauty of nature while challenging themselves on the slopes.

In addition to their outdoor adventures, they spent a lot of time at home in Richfield, where they enjoyed the simple things: movie nights, dinners together, spending time with family and friends, and of course, hanging out with their dog, Rusty. Rusty, a bundle of energy and joy, quickly became an important part of their lives, adding a new layer of fun and companionship to their relationship.

In January of 2023, on a ski trip with Kelly’s siblings and their families, Luke made a move that would change everything. Surrounded by the snowy Arizona mountains and with a fake plan "to meet with Tony" Luke proposed to Kelly. It was a moment filled with love, excitement, and a sense of everything falling into place at the right time. With Kelly’s family there to celebrate, the proposal felt like the perfect way to begin the next chapter of their lives together.

Now, engaged and looking forward to their future, Luke and Kelly continue to cherish the things that brought them together: time spent with loved ones, shared adventures, and a deep love for life’s simple pleasures. They know that their journey together is just beginning, and they are excited for all the memories yet to be made.
